Shaq attack in Boston!

There might be times that I am not aware about what's happening in the NBA, but for the past few weeks I know that there had been major transactions done.

Chris Bosh and LeBron James joined Dwyane Wade in Miami Heat to form the new big three, the 3-Kings. Carlos Boozer signed with the Chicago Bulls with high hopes that he can helped Derrick Rose lift the Bulls to the finals. Amar'e Stoudamire signed a 5-year contract worth $100M for the New York Knicks. Al Jefferson landed to Utah as a roster replacement for Boozer. All considered as 'big moves' for the respected teams involve; yup good decisions as well.

But where was the stir for the Big Diesel himself, was it a low-profile transaction for Shaquille O'Neal?

Shaq will not be wearing a purple nor red jersey next season; this time it would be green with the lucky clover leaf, the Boston Celtics. Welcome!

Yes! The 15-time NBA All-Star, once Rookie of the Year, Season MVP, Finals MVP, NBA scoring titlist had signed a 2-year contract worth about $3M with the Boston. Will this be something for the league? Definitely, it is!

Boston's move may not have caught the spotlight as what had LeBron did but the real deal, for me, is during the season, not the pre-season. If you have 3 superstars in your roster that doesn't mean you're already a champion; you have to play well and win. I still remember what Rajon Rondo had said about the buzz that the Miami Heat is the team to worry, they ain't done nothing yet; it's not them we worry about. He may be right.

I always admire Shaq ever since. I liked the partnership, supposed to be a good one, he had with Anfernee Hardaway back in the 90's at Orlando. Though they had failed winning a title they were already a superstar tandem. He has been a dominant powerhouse in the ring; almost unstoppable inside. That's is why he is SHAQ!

From Orlando, to Lakers, Miami, Phoenix, Cleveland and now in Boston; the journey of the Superman is definitely one of the best careers in the NBA. Wherever he may go, whatever team may have him, Shaquille O'Neal is always a superstar.
